BEIJING — Vice-Premier Han Zheng on Nov 19 met with French ecology minister Francois de Rugy, calling on the two sides to strengthen cooperation in fields including ecological environment protection.
Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said that China was ready to work with the French side to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state and bring bilateral ties to a higher level.
“China attaches great importance to international cooperation on ecological environment, hopes to strengthen dialogue and exchanges with the French side on ecological environment protection, climate change, biodiversity conservation and other fields to make joint efforts to build a clean and beautiful world,” Han said.
De Rugy, who is also France’s state minister, said that France cherished the cooperation achievement between the two countries and was willing to boost cooperation with China in fields including climate change and environment protection, as well as to push forward bilateral ties.
