Minister of public security and State Councilor Zhao Kezhi stressed efforts to strengthen public security organs' self-discipline during his inspection in Northeast China's Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces from Aug 6 to 8.
Zhao paid visits to local front line police staff members and conducted an investigation on social stability maintenance work in public security organs and stations at township, city, and provincial levels.
Zhao pressed for carrying out an overhaul of China’s public security system. He called for problem-solving and crackdowns on any severe violations against political disciplines and misuse of authority and corruption in law enforcing management. With leading bodies as the focus, the overhaul will help resolve chronic problems and further refresh China’s public security system.
Further efforts should be made to safeguard overall national security and social stability in China during regular epidemic prevention efforts, Zhao said.
