BEIJING — State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi held a phone conversation with Interior Minister of Belarus Ivan Kubrakov on Nov 23.
Under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the China-Belarus ties have developed in a sound and steady manner, said Zhao.
The fifth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has made comprehensive plans for China's future development, and will also provide more opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Belarus, he said.
The Chinese side firmly opposes the external forces' stoking divisions and turbulence in the Belarusian society, said Zhao.
He hoped that the two sides can further strengthen practical cooperation in the field of law enforcement and security to better maintain prosperity, stability of the two countries, and the well-being of the two peoples.
For his part, Kubrakov also expressed the willingness to continue stepping up practical cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
