State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi stressed deepening the study of the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC), promoting education and rectification among China's public security force, in order to safeguard overall social stability, security and stability in border regions.
Zhao made the remarks while inspecting Southwest China's Yunnan province from May 3 to 6.
He visited border checkpoints, grassroots public security departments, border ports at Kunming, Pu'er, Dehong, Baoshan and Menglian of Yunnan province.
Measures should be taken to prevent risks, ensure safety and maintain stability, creating a safe and stable political and social environment for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, he said.
