State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi stressed the importance of full and strict governance over the Party and police, and tough discipline to fight corruption, in an effort to build a trustworthy public security force.
He made the remarks at a tele-conference on the education, rectification and mobilization of China’s public security force, which was held on March 3.
Zhao urged efforts to implement President Xi Jinping’s instruction on strengthening construction of the country’s police team to combat political disloyalty, injustice in law enforcement, corruption in judicial practice, dereliction of duty and inconsistencies in discipline. The aim is to optimize the political environment, improve discipline, enhance capabilities, and boost public confidence in law enforcement and administration of justice, and to build a team trusted and relied upon by the people in order to present a good performance for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
