BEIJING, April 25 -- The Chinese foreign exchange market recorded transactions worth 26.99 trillion yuan (3.76 trillion U.S. dollars) in March, according to data released by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange on Friday.

The data showed that the transaction volume of the client market was 3.77 trillion yuan and that of the interbank market was 23.21 trillion yuan.

In terms of products, the spot market's cumulative transaction volume was 9.5 trillion yuan, and that of the derivatives market was 17.49 trillion yuan, according to the data.

The forex market saw cumulative transactions of 71.23 trillion yuan in the first three months of the year, data unveiled.
