SHENZHEN — Chinese mainland received 162.42 billion yuan ($22.91 billion) of charitable donations from home and abroad in 2018, according to a report released by China Charity Alliance.
Chinese private enterprises and State-owned enterprises donated about 45.03 billion yuan and 31.09 billion yuan respectively in 2018, according to the report.
A total of 20 internet donation platforms approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs have received 3.17 billion yuan in 2018, up 26.8 percent year-on-year, the report said.
The statistics in the report also show the social donations mainly went to the fields of education, medical health, and poverty alleviation and development in 2018.
