BEIJING — The wholesale prices of China's agricultural products dipped on Nov 10, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
The latest China agricultural product wholesale price index came in at 117.61, down 0.09 points from Nov 9.
By 2 pm on Nov 10, the average wholesale price of pork, a staple meat in China, went down 0.3 percent to 39.26 yuan (about $5.95) per kg, and that of eggs slipped 0.1 percent to 7.82 yuan per kg.
The average wholesale prices of 28 key types of vegetables tracked by the government declined 0.2 percent compared with Nov 9, while that of six different types of fruits gained 1.5 percent.
The wholesale price index is compiled on the basis of data collected from around 200 agricultural wholesale markets and is updated daily based on the weighted average of price indexes for goods including vegetables, fruits, aquatic products, livestock products, cereals and edible vegetable oil.
