BEIJING — China's air travel rebounded during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday although it did not recover to pre-pandemic levels, data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China showed on Feb 7.
A total of 5.01 million air passenger trips were recorded from Jan 31 to Feb 6, up 40.2 percent year-on-year, the administration said.
Air passenger flow peaked on Feb 6, with 1.23 million trips made.
The number of flights totaled 62,744 during the Spring Festival holiday, rising 33.3 percent year-on-year. The punctuality rate reached 97.08 percent, up 0.83 percentage points from a year earlier.
Chinese people usually travel to reunite with their families for the Chinese Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, which fell on Feb 1 this year.
