BEIJING — China's major furniture manufacturers reported rising profits in the first four months this year despite disruptions caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, official data showed.
During the January-April period, total profits of major Chinese furniture-making enterprises stood at 10.06 billion yuan ($1.5 billion), up 2.9 percent year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The combined operating revenue of those firms edged down 0.5 percent from a year ago to 233.56 billion yuan, the data shows.
