BEIJING — China's express delivery logistics sector recorded strong recovery last month amid the country's efforts to smoothen circulation, industry data shows.
The index tracking courier logistics stood at 99.3 percent in May, up 6.4 percentage points from a month earlier, according to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.
It attributed the recovery to the country's continuous progress in facilitating logistics and smoothening industrial and supply chains.
China's manufacturing and tertiary sectors saw steady logistics rebounds in May, with the business courier sub-indices for the sectors up 4.9 percentage points and 6.5 percentage points month-on-month, respectively.
Based on statistics of business express services, China's express logistics index reflects the development of the country's industrial activities and express logistics sector.
