SHANGHAI — The balance of loans in Shanghai, including all currencies, stood at 10.25 trillion yuan ($1.43 trillion) at the end of September 2022, up 10.1 percent from the same period last year, official data showed.
The balance of loans in Chinese yuan in Shanghai reached 9.52 trillion yuan at the end of September, up 11.5 percent year-on-year, according to the People's Bank of China Shanghai Head Office.
The balance of Shanghai's loans to the manufacturing sector was 943.1 billion yuan at the end of September, up 29.5 percent year-on-year.
At the end of September, the balance of Shanghai's deposits climbed 13.4 percent from a year earlier.
