BEIJING, Nov. 24 -- Bond issuances in China totaled almost 6.22 trillion yuan (about 873.7 billion U.S. dollars) in October, according to data from the country's central bank.
Treasury bond issuances came to 1.24 trillion yuan, and local government bond issuances amounted to approximately 1.4 trillion yuan, according to the People's Bank of China.
In October, financial bond issuances came in at 814.78 billion yuan, and corporate credit bond issuances totaled approximately 971.85 billion yuan.
Issuances of credit-asset-backed securities totaled 32.94 billion yuan, and issuances of interbank deposit certificates amounted to 1.73 trillion yuan.
By the end of October, outstanding bonds held in custody stood at 155.3 trillion yuan, the central bank data shows.
