China has achieved a significant milestone as its installed capacity of non-fossil energy power generation now accounts for 50.9% of the country's total capacity.

This achievement surpasses the initially set goal of surpassing fossil fuel plants by 2025. China has also set targets to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
