BEIJING, June 16 -- The Nishan Dialogue on Digital Civilization will be held from June 25 to 27 in Nishan in Qufu, east China's Shandong Province, the birthplace of ancient Chinese sage Confucius (551 B.C.-479 B.C.).
The international organization responsible for the World Internet Conference and other related activities announced on Friday that it will hold the dialogue themed on artificial intelligence (AI).
Themed "The Age of AI: Building a Digital World of Exchanges, Mutual Learning and Inclusiveness," the dialogue plans to invite several hundred high-level representatives from governmental departments, business sectors, and academic and research institutions worldwide to attend the event in person or via video link.
Participants are expected to discuss ways to lead the development of a digital world with the help of AI technologies, and to pool wisdom for the future of digital civilization, said Ren Xianliang, secretary-general of the World Internet Conference, which is the name of both the event and the international organization responsible for organizing the conference.
The dialogue will also feature a series of special activities such as a forum, a public good promotion program and cultural performances, all based on relevant topics.
