Abandoned pit area transformed into scenic park in N China's Hebei

This aerial photo taken on July 22, 2023 shows the scenery of Nanhu Lake in Tangshan, north China's Hebei Province. The Nanhu Lake in downtown Tangshan used to be an abandoned pit area of a coal mine. After massive restoration efforts, it has become a scenic park covering water area of 11.5 square kilometers and green area of 16 square kilometers, attracting local residents and tourists to visit.
