Abandoned pit area transformed into scenic park in N China's Hebei

The Nanhu Lake in downtown Tangshan used to be an abandoned pit area of a coal mine. After massive restoration efforts, it has become a scenic park covering water area of 11.5 square kilometers and green area of 16 square kilometers, attracting local residents and tourists to visit.
