Shenzhou-16 taikonauts completed their first in-orbit experiment of testing heat transfer in liquid metals.

Liquid metals are metals and alloys with a low melting point. They are amorphous and flowable at a relatively low temperature. They have strong electrical conductivity, high thermal conductivity, low viscosity and wide liquid temperature range.

The experiment equipment is mounted in the Space Basic Experiment Cabinet on the Mengtian lab module.
