After more than a decade of efforts, Xinjiang now has its own smart cotton picking and packaging machinery brands. With 185 completely independent intellectual property rights and a domestic market share of 50 percent, the smart cotton picking and packaging machinery brands of Xinjiang are expanding outside of China. Empowered by mechanized harvesting, planting, and AI management, Xinjiang's cotton industry is advancing towards intensive and refined development through intelligent technology upgrades. Now, only two people are needed for the cultivation, planting, management, and harvesting of 200 hectares of cotton fields. As China's largest cotton-producing region, Xinjiang contributes nearly 90 percent of China's cotton production capacity and about 20 percent of the global cotton production. This year, the output is expected to reach 5 million tonnes.
