The Beijing-Xiongan expressway, connecting Beijing and Xiongan New Area, fully opened to traffic for the first time on December 28, reducing the travel time between the two places to under an hour. The total length of the expressway is about 102 kilometers, of which the Hebei section is about 75 kilometers long, while the Beijing section occupies 27 kilometers. As a major transportation project in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, the expressway is the most convenient rapid transportation corridor between the capital and the newly established region. The new expressway complements the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway and the Daqing-Guangzhou Highway, with distinctive functions and layers.
