Farmers along the Hexi Corridor, a major agricultural producer in northwest China's Gansu Province, no longer worry about irrigation water thanks to a newly-adopted technology.

In Hanzuo Town of Wuwei City, thin tubes buried just under the earth stretch across wheat fields, delivering water and fertilizer to the plants. These tubes are disposable and low-cost, and do not interfere with mechanized operations.
