BEIJING, May 1 -- An exchange and training base aimed at the development of women globally was recently established in Beijing, with the goal of promoting the global cause of women's development.
Jointly launched by the All-China Women's Federation and the China International Development Cooperation Agency, this Beijing base is expected to tailor programs for developing countries with focus on women's capacity building, high-end study visits, and foreign training programs, thereby creating a platform to empower women's growth, promote women's development, and facilitate exchanges and cooperation among women.
Relying on the China Women's University, the training base will carry out a series of activities in the future. Since 2013, the university has trained nearly 1,300 students from 100 countries through multiple programs.
