BEIJING, July 9 -- Xi Jinping, chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), has signed an order to commend an army company of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, awarding it the honorary title of "Model Rocket Artillery Company."

Formed in 1937, the company had taken part in several historic battles. In recent years, it has also fulfilled multiple important missions.

The order demands the entire armed forces learn from the unit, strengthen political loyalty, intensify troop training and combat preparedness, enhance the ability to fight and win, and promote the fearless and indomitable fighting spirit.

The CMC called on all troops and service members to spare no effort in building the people's army into a world-class military.
