An express freight train service connecting Xi'an, the capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, was launched on January 1, 2025. Carrying 50 containers loaded with goods such as major appliances, textiles and chemicals, the train will exit China through Horgos Port, traverse Kazakhstan, and cover a journey of over 4,600 kilometers before arriving in Tashkent. The service has significantly reduced delivery time from 8-10 days to just 5-6 days.
