HEFEI — A freight train left Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province, on June 6, heading for Tilburg in the Netherlands for the first time.
The train, carrying 82 TEUs of cargo, will travel around 15 days before arriving at the destination. It marks the launch of a new rail cargo service between the two cities.
The China-Europe freight train service now has 20 routes linking Hefei with eight countries including Germany, Poland, Finland, the Netherlands and Russia.
So far this year, a total of 194 China-Europe freight trains have departed from Hefei.
