Cooperative specializing in feather art in China's Yunnan boosts locals' income

Born in Longpeng township of Shiping county, Zhang Hua, of Yi ethnic group, is interested in Yi embroidery from a very young age and has begun to learn feather patchwork making since 2009. In 2016, Zhang Hua founded a studio to help local women learn embroidery and feather art for free. Then with the support of the local government, she organized a cooperative specializing in feather art to boost locals' income and local economy.[Photo/Xinhua]
