Longlin county, in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, launched a relocation program as part of its anti-poverty drive during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. The State-level poor county has relocated 19,176 people from 4,414 households to four newly built sites, filing information about each household and signing relocation agreements with them. To raise the income of relocated people, the local government implemented measures suited to their needs, including ensuring their involvement in industrial development, encouraging them to find jobs in nearby enterprises, and offering occupation training courses.
