Modern animal husbandry brings benefits to Biyang county in Central China

Xianan cattle is domestically developed by Qi Xinglei and the scientific research team in Biyang county of Zhumadian city in Henan province. The industry concerning Xianan cattle has become a 10 billion-yuan-level industrial cluster in Biyang county nowadays. At present, Biyang county has developed modern animal husbandry by introducing leading enterprises and forms a full-chain industry integrating research and development, breed supply, scale breeding and commercial logistics. In 2020, the county raised a total of 395,000 Xianan cattle with an output value of 15 billion yuan (about $2.31 billion). [Photo/Xinhua]
