Baihetan hydropower project advances in SW China

The construction site of the Baihetan Hydropower Station on Jinsha River, straddling Ningnan county in Southwest China’s Sichuan province and Qiaojia county in Yunnan province, on Jan 23, 2021. The Baihetan dam is the world’s biggest hydropower station under construction, having the largest unit capacity. The first batch of generating units is slated to be commissioned for electricity generation by July this year, and the remaining by July 2022. [Photo/Xinhua]
