New international container shipping route opens in Tangshan

A container ship named Huada departs from the container terminal of Jingtang port area at Tangshan Port in Tangshan city, North China's Hebei province, March 30, 2021. The departure marks the official start of the international container shipping line connecting Tangshan Port to the Port of Pyeongtaek in South Korea, and also of the seventh such route bound for Northeast Asia opened by Tangshan Port Group. So far 46 container shipping routes for domestic and foreign trade have been kicked off at Tangshan Port, with container throughput rising 81.9 percent year-on-year to 414,000 twenty-foot equivalent units in the first two months.
