Lhasa-Nyingchi railway opens to traffic

A bridge along the Lhasa-Nyingchi railway in Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region, Sept 20, 2020. The railway linking Lhasa, capital of Tibet, and the city of Nyingchi in eastern Tibet will open to traffic on June 25. Fuxing trains powered by both internal combustion and electricity will use the route. The fastest trains can take passengers from Lhasa to Shannan city in 70 minutes and to Nyingchi in three hours and 29 minutes. [Photo/Xinhua]
