Anhui section of ultra-high voltage transmission line finished in E China

Electricians work on the ultra-high voltage transmission line by Yangtze River in Wuhu, East China’s Anhui province, on March 14. With the last six transmission lines installed, the Anhui section of the 800 kV direct current power transmission project linking Baihetan and Jiangsu is completed. As a key part of the west-to-east power transmission program, the project will promote the country’s energy mix, and help save energy and cut emissions. When completed, it is expected to transmit over 31.2 billion kWh of electricity per year. [Photo/Xinhua]
