BEIJING — Leaders of foreign countries and international organizations have sent congratulatory messages to President Xi Jinping to convey their best wishes on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Senegalese President Macky Sall said that his country is ready to continue strengthening friendly cooperation with China in various fields and deepen the Senegal-China comprehensive strategic partnership.

Zambian President Edgar Lungu said China is an all-weather friend of Zambia.

He sincerely hopes that the mutually beneficial cooperation between Zambia and China could bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Comoros' President Azali Assoumani said China's achievements in various fields and its role on the world stage have benefited the people of Comoros as well as the whole African continent.

Comoros supports further consolidation of China's status as a major country in the world, he added.

President of Gabon Ali Bongo Ondimba said China has become a remarkable model of development through reforms and opening-up.

Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth said that China has become a lighthouse in sci-tech advancement and is playing a significant leading role in dealing with climate change and other global affairs.

The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation can be regarded as an example of China's active participation in the development of the African continent, he said.

Moldova's President Igor Dodon said Chinese people have created a great miracle over the last 70 years - turning China into a world's pioneering country within the shortest period of time.

He believes that the Belt and Road Initiative could provide a new major impetus to the development of Moldova-China relations.

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian said China has scored unprecedented achievements in the nation's construction and development over the last 70 years, adding that his country is fully confident in China's future development.

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili said the development of Georgia-China ties has been remarkably fruitful and the bilateral friendship has become ever closer.

Irish President Michael D. Higgins offers best wishes to the Chinese people, wishing them happiness and prosperity.

President of Iceland Gudni Johannesson expected Iceland-China relations to be further bolstered so as to benefit the people of all countries.

Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades said Chinese people have made astonishing achievements over the last 70 years, and the Belt and Road Initiative has provided a precious platform for promoting solidarity, peace, cooperation and common prosperity between people of Eurasian and other countries.

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda sent sincere congratulations to Chinese people, hoping that the constructive cooperation between Lithuania and China could continue to deepen and expand.
