BEIJING — China's meteorological authority on March 25 issued a blue alert for a cold front, forecasting low temperatures and heavy wind in central, eastern and northern parts of the country.
From March 25 to March 28, strong wind will sweep across most central and eastern regions, with the temperature dropping 6 to 10 degrees Celsius, according to the National Meteorological Center.
In some regions, temperatures will drop by over 12 degrees.
The center advised the public to take precautions against the cold weather and strong wind.
In the country's four-tier weather warning system, red is the most severe, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
