Over the past decade since the 18th CPC National Congress, China has made groundbreaking historical achievements in diplomatic arena and carried out major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics on all fronts.
A news conference on China's diplomatic work was held by Vice-Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu and Vice-Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Guo Yezhou in Beijing on Sept 29.

Fruitful head-of-state diplomacy
During the past decade, President Xi Jinping has made 42 overseas trips to 69 countries on five continents. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Xi has held 181 talks over the phone with leaders of states and international organizations and attended 78 international events via video links.
Widening friendship
China has established diplomatic relations with 181 countries and entered into partnerships with more than 110 countries and regional organizations.
The CPC maintains contacts of various forms with more than 600 political parties and organizations worldwide.
Advancing the building of a community with a shared future for mankind
China has signed more than 200 cooperation agreements with 149 countries and 32 international organizations involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, China has shared containment protocols and diagnostic and treatment plans with more than 180 nations and international organizations, sending 38 medical teams to 34 countries and providing more than 2.2 billion doses of vaccines to more than 120 countries and global bodies.
Advancing reform and development of global governance
China has faithfully fulfilled its responsibility and mission as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, having sent over 50,000 peacekeepers to UN peacekeeping operations.
China has been among the first of countries to meet the UN Millennium Development Goals, taken the lead in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and implemented the Paris Agreement on climate change.
