The main structure of Zhangjiakou Ningyuan Airport's extended complex, a key transportation project for the 2022 Winter Olympics in the co-host city of Zhangjiakou, was completed on Aug 3.

After the extension, the airport can handle up to one million passengers a year. Construction of the complex's extended part began last September and the remodeled complex will be put into trial operation by the end of this year.
