China has inaugurated 6 new pilot free trade zones (FTZs) in a bid to press ahead with reform and opening-up. In the northernmost province of China, the Heilongjiang pilot FTZ will feature revitalization of Northeast China and promote Sino-Russian cooperation.
As Heilongjiang’s major port, Suifenhe has railways and highways to Russia. The port handled 1.1 million passengers and 10.5 million tons of cargo in 2018.
