The construction of the new Wufengshan power line crossing on the Yangtze River was completed on Dec 3, integrating two power grids in Yangzhou and Zhenjiang cities in East China's Jiangsu province.

The new Wufengshan power line is also expected to improve navigation in the lower reaches, as the height limit has been raised from 37.5 to 54 meters, and the weight limit for vessels has been increased from 30,000 to 50,000 tons.
