The 180-meter-tall main tower of Zhoushan-Daishan Cross-sea Bridge in East China's Zhejiang province completed capping on Dec 18.
The bridge stretches 17.36 kilometers, connecting Zhoushan Island and its outlying Daishan Island, which are usually referred to as the Zhoushan Islands together with several other small islands nearby.
The bridge is a part of the transportation system that connects the five principal Zhoushan Islands where China's mega port, Zhoushan Port, is located. The transportation system, which mainly consists of cross-sea bridges and expressways, will become the world's largest cross-sea bridge cluster when completed.
