First shipment along new China-Myanmar corridor makes it to Chengdu
Updated: August 31, 2021 14:20 CGTN

On Aug 27, the first batch of cargo successfully arrived at Chengdu International Railway Port in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province. This batch of goods was shipped by sea from Singapore to the Port of Yangon in Myanmar, transported by road to Lincang of Southwest China's Yunnan province, and traveled by direct railway to Chengdu. This is the most convenient new land-sea corridor connecting southwest China with the Indian Ocean, cutting the shipping time of around 20 days. It will become a new channel for China's west to directly carry out international trade and logistics from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean.
