China successfully launched its Shijian-21 satellite atop a Long March-3B carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Southwest China's Sichuan province at 9:27 am on Oct 24. The satellite has entered its preset orbit.
The Shijian-21 satellite's mission is to validate space debris mitigation technology.
Notably, this is the 338th flight of the Long March carrier rocket family.
