A new national expressway linking three arteries in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region officially opened to traffic on Dec 26.

The G575 highway, stretching 76.5 kilometers, is one of the key transport projects in Xinjiang, running from the north to the south of the Tianshan Mountains. It connects with three major land transport routes — a national-level highway and two expressways.
