Updated: February 19, 2022 07:38 CGTN

The ribbon-shaped Olympic torch named "Flying" and the world's first hydrogen-powered torch for the Winter Olympic Games incorporate new materials and techniques that ensure it can stay lit under all weather conditions.

The National Speed Skating Oval, known as the "Ice Ribbon," has adopted a set of photovoltaic power systems that brings carbon emissions close to zero.

The 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, which will come to an end on Feb 20, is not only a global sports gala held amid the COVID-19, but also a stage showing China's latest high-tech products.
