Updated: March 17, 2022 09:34 CGTN

As the temperature rises, farmers are busy with spring farming backed by modern technologies. In Qitai county, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, agriculture drones were used in spraying fertilizer and pesticides onto farmland. The drones make spraying pesticides easy and efficient. Meanwhile, farmers in Fukang city, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, are busy planting high-quality wheat. Unmanned tillage planters, equipped with China's BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS), have been utilized for agricultural modernization. The BDS system facilitates the digital positioning of fertilizers and seeds to enhance soil utilization, remarkably saving 70 percent of labor costs.
