The State Council on July 21 issued a document to approve revamping the inter-ministerial joint conference system on cyber market regulation.
The document is aimed at further beefing up cyber market regulation and inter-ministerial coordination and cooperation, in an effort to usher in the ongoing healthy development of the cyber market.
The joint conference consists of 14 units, including the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, of which SAMR takes the lead, the document said.
Xiao Yaqing, head of SAMR, will act as convener for the joint conference. And the office of the joint conference will be set at SAMR, responsible for the routine work, such as follow-up to implementation of decisions made by the joint conference.
According to the document, joint conferences will be held both regularly and as needed.
All joint conference member units should actively study and table issues related to cyber market regulation and fully implement decisions and assignments from the joint conference.
Meanwhile, the joint conference system should beef up guidance for local authorities and inter-ministerial cooperation.
