China will expand the coverage of inter-provincial government services and further improve service efficiency, according to a guideline issued by the General Office of the State Council on Oct 5.
According to the circular, 22 frequently needed government services will be made inter-provincially accessible, including temporary identification card application, registration of pension insurance for urban and rural residents, housing provident fund payment, digital tax payment and settlement of medical expenses for five chronic, special diseases.
It also called for efforts to enhance online services, optimize offline services and increase coordination efficiency in inter-provincial government services.
