China unveiled a three-year action plan on enhancing the quality of administrative law enforcement from 2023 to 2025, according to a notice issued by the State Council General Office on Sept 5.
The plan aims to comprehensively improve personnel’s competency and quality in law enforcement, especially their political ability and professional proficiency, with stronger all-around management.
Strict, standardized, fair and civilized law enforcement will be fully advanced, the plan said. It called for forcefully rectifying prominent problems in administrative law enforcement, establishing and improving standards and norms, and enhancing its working mechanism.
To enhance the working system, coordinated efforts must be made to promote reform on the system of administrative law enforcement, according to the plan.
Before the end of 2024, governments of all areas must have, at least once, evaluated administrative law enforcement items that have been assigned to villages, towns and streets, the plan said.
For better coordination, an effective connection mechanism for supervision before, during and after the process of administrative law enforcement will be enhanced, a coordination mechanism crossing departments, regions and levels established and improved.
Establishing a working system for coordination and supervision in administrative law enforcement and better science and technology support are also stressed in the plan.
