Six items will be under management of industrial production permits, according to a circular released by the State Council on May 9.
The move is aimed at safeguarding the quality and security of key industrial products, intensifying access management and governance at the source, preventing major risks and protecting people's life and property as well as public security.
The six items include cold-rolled ribbed steel bars, pressure regulators for liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, steel cables, plywood, blockboard, and safety helmets.
Moreover, the approval pattern for production permits for fertilizers will be adjusted from the "notification and commitment" system to verification before certification, according to the circular.
