National standards released for AI agent interconnection
China has recently released seven national standards on artificial intelligence agent interconnection, the State Administration for Market Regulation said.
AI agents are intelligent systems capable of autonomous perception, memory, decision-making, interaction and execution. They are an important application form of next-generation AI, as well as a key carrier for empowering various industries with AI technologies and supporting the high-quality development of the intelligent economy.
The seven standards cover general architecture, identity codes, identity management, agent description, agent discovery, agent interaction and agent tool calling.
The standards systematically establish a closed-loop regulatory framework covering identity identification, capability description, supply-demand discovery, collaborative interaction and tool calling, effectively filling a standards gap in the field.
By unifying architecture and interaction rules, the standards will enable enterprises to reuse standard components, reduce customized development and shorten the time needed to bring products to market.
They will also help establish unified identity authentication and full-process traceability mechanisms.
Clean, low-carbon new energy system targeted by 2030
China aims to basically establish a clean, low-carbon, secure and efficient new energy system by 2030, according to a plan recently issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration.
By 2030, China's total energy production capacity will reach 5.8 billion metric tons of standard coal equivalent. At the same time, the power system's capacity for complementary support, security and resilience will see comprehensive improvements, according to the plan.
The plan also says that coal and oil consumption should peak, non-fossil energy should account for 25 percent of total energy consumption, and wind and solar power should make up more than 50 percent of the country's total installed power generation capacity, becoming the mainstay of installed capacity.
Non-fossil energy is also expected to contribute 50 percent of total power generation by 2030, becoming the main source of electricity, the plan says.
China will accelerate the construction of a new energy infrastructure system that is strong and resilient, green and low-carbon, integrated, intelligent and efficient. A new power system is also expected to be basically established by 2030.
Financial support strengthened for women's employment
The People's Bank of China, the National Financial Regulatory Administration and the All-China Women's Federation have jointly issued guidelines to strengthen financial support for women's employment and development.
The latest document calls for stronger financing support for entrepreneurial carriers such as business incubation bases, in order to support the launch of women's entrepreneurial projects.
It encourages local authorities to improve guaranteed loan policies for startups based on local conditions, and to appropriately lower or remove counter-guarantee requirements for women entrepreneurs with good credit records.
The document also calls for expanding diversified financing channels for women's employment and entrepreneurship, and supporting eligible women-led startups in registering and issuing debt financing instruments and conducting supply-chain bill business.
On insurance, it encourages insurers to optimize products according to women's needs, including insured age, coverage period and premiums, while promoting special insurance for female-specific diseases.
