Premier Li Keqiang held a telephone conversation with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on April 16.
Premier Li said both Poland and China are facing severe challenges from the novel coronavirus outbreak. Once, at a critical time when China was fighting against the epidemic, Poland’s government and people gave China a hand.
China also will firmly support Poland in anti-epidemic efforts, and will share its experience with Poland and provide convenience for purchasing and transporting medical supplies through commercial channels.
Expressing his confidence that Poland will win the battle against the epidemic at an early date, Premier Li said that the Chinese government pays high attention to the safety and legal rights of its overseas citizens, and hopes the Polish side will ensure the safety and daily life of Chinese citizens in the nation.
Morawiecki expressed his appreciation to China for supporting Poland in fighting the epidemic, and praised the quality of medical supplies from China.
He also hoped that China will continue to facilitate the procurement of medical supplies, customs clearance, transportation for Poland, and strengthen the exchanges of experience in preventing and controlling the epidemic.
Poland will take effective measures to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens in Poland, he added.
State Councilor Wang Yi and He Lifeng, head of the National Development and Reform Commission also participated.
