BEIJING — China will begin official auditing on fiscal funds and social donations related to the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus, said the National Audit Office (NAO) on Feb 7.
The auditing process should focus on the implementation of supportive moves like tax relief, interest rate discount and favorable loan plans, as well as the allocation and usage of epidemic control funds and social donations, according to a circular released by the NAO.
The circular urged efforts to minimize on-site auditing with the help of big data.
The office also called for due diligence of all auditing teams and a tough stance against interception, misuse and embezzlement of the funds, stressing the timely report of alleged breaches to disciplinary or judicial organs.
